Simple syrup (made with organic sugar)

Simple syrup-made with organic sugar

Simple syrup is a marvelous ingredient that sweetens sorbets, desserts or cocktails and drinks. It only takes a few minutes to make a batch and it’ll save for several weeks in the refrigerator.

Since I only use organic sugar in all my recipes, the syrup will have a light-brown hue – a worthy sacrifice since organic sugar tastes infinitely better than the bleached kind.

Last but not least, make sure to use filtered or spring water for this recipe. You wouldn’t want foul-smelling chlorinated tap water to end up in your syrup!
